I recently picked this up in a spare parts lot...

I assume it is the ring / clip referred to.
Can anyone shed any light on the watch it is used for?
Is it for 809 or transitional bezel navi?

Thank you.

Will,

That's the original!

Breitling doesn't have them. Do you still have it? Check pm.

This bezel (1964 AOPA "special milled edge"), is the only stainless steel reference 806 Navitimer that used the bezel spring.

I merely posted it for Fred, as it sounded like he was unaware of it. Maybe my understanding was wrong, but here it is anyway.

Good evening Kurt,

thanks in advance for the beautiful article in the following link http://www.kurt-b.com.

I need your help in order to fix my Navitimer 806, I restored it but regarding the bezel retainer I have no idea how it should look,
in the att. picture my Navitimer bezel has the same shape as the top first in your previous listed picture .

any help?
thank you and have a good day

For posterity's sake, some somewhat blurry photos of a 65 serial numbered case.

Hi all--

Apologies for bumping up this very old thread. I recently acquired a gold-plated AOPA 806 with a beads of rice bezel, and it is also missing its bezel ring. I went to a local watchmaker who was (not surprisingly) unable to source a replacement bezel ring.

I did, however, recently acquire a bezel ring that looks identical to the one I've quoted above. I wanted to see whether this group thinks that this bezel ring would work for the beads of rice bezels, or if I need to keep looking.
