Dear Breitling friends,

This is my first post here,
and was hoping to recieve some advice !?

The watch can be mine tommorow, but want first to know an estimated valieu,
plus the chrono function does not work ! Any imput would be very appreciated.

well, valuations are quite tricky - you did not post a movement shot for verification, though the movement here has to be a Venus 170

watch seems to be a correct ref. 174, mid 1940s, though I very much dislike that "guarantee label" - paper does not look almost 70 years old and I am quite surprised Breitling would call that watch a ref. 374 ???

watch will need repairs and service - so a range of $400 to $500 would be the maximum value.

I deleted the duplicate thread, please don't double post. I agree that the watch looks fundamentally 'right', the paper is odd. Montreux could simply be a sales office but the incorrect (and nonsensical) model number is weird. Don't recall seing anything similar to this in the past and the paper does seem very crisp for being 65 years old.

Edit - Ltd vs. S.A. also seems weird, even in an English language document, and why would an English only document be issued in Montreux??
