Several years ago I purchased what I believe is a Breitling Co-Pilot yachting version from around 1967. I have just had the watched serviced and has a one year warranty. Before I put the watch up for sale I would appreciate some help in verifying that I have an accurate description of the watch. Also, I have checked chrono24 and ebay for pricing but there is a large range of prices. So any help you can provide on the approximate value of this watch would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!! First you need to replace the cheap rubber strap - it will only lower the value!

Have you priced a 22mm genuine Tropic strap lately Craig? Pricey for sure. I agree though, it would look better on a nice matte black croc strap or black lizard strap. As for value, I'd say this should realistically bring in the $3k-$4k range depending on who wants it bad enough and if the seller really wants to sell it.

the pricing range of 3-4k is quite realistic, chrono24 asking prices paint an unrealistic picture, as several of the Yachtings are offered by well known (an not too well liked) seller from Luxembourg.

Thanks for your helpful replies. I will replace the rubber strap with a higher quality band.

i believe the tropic is quite appropriate for a yachting watch (or dive watch)
but thats just my view
