Hi guys. I am in a vintage watch buying mode recently, and using them as dress watches. Picked up an old omega constellation and tudor oyster recently. Anyone else loving the vintages? Also any tips to get scratches out of the hessalite crystal? |

Yep, I'm becoming more and more interested in vintage. At the moment I'm trying to resist the temptation to buy a 1967 Speedy. I know nothing at all about vintage Breitlings though. |

I'm currently trying to make a deal on a rolex oyster royal 6444. Any one know what a fair price is on a bracelet and in fair condition? No good comparisons on chrono24 |

Just picked up a 69? Speedie Mark II... IMO some of the best vintage pieces for the money. Movement is robust, spot on time, beautiful to look at, the case is built well, etc. Dare I say I'm looking for another Speedie Pro (round case) Lately, I've been trying to seek pieces that are a bit more practical. In terms of Breitling, the learning curve with them is a bit higher in my opinion since there is lots of potential for fakes/frankenwatches and with no vintage support from Breitling whatsoever, it is hard but crucial that we have forums like this place here. Some of the marquee models, (ie. co-pilot, navitimer, chronomatic) are a bit more recognizable but still it boils down to condition and what the market is willing to pay for it. I learned by trial and error. (an expensive lesson nonetheless) but my collection has somewhat reached stability. But all in the end, this is THE FORUM for vintage B's. |
