I am not familiar with teh sprint so I'll leave that with others the 806: Nice watch .. but .. Second hand not original hour, minute and second hands are relumed at least 2 totalizer hands seem not original it doesnt have as much value to a collector as an untouched 806 but its a nice watch to wear and it looks like it has a hard life |

The 806 is just about the most well documented vintage Breitling (although there is no shortage of contention). This is a 1960s vintage and has had some replacements as indicated. There are a lot of topics here on them and also: www.navitimer.net http://forums.watchuseek.com/f39/breitl ... 25057.html The Sprint became available in the late 60s with a Valjoux 7733. There is an example on Page 18 of the 1969 catalogue - http://www.breitlingsource.com/books_1969.shtml. It was designed to be very light as it was intended as a sports watch (running specifically). It used an innovative (for the time) resin based composite material for the case, but that can make it a little brittle today. |
