Hi

I stumbled upon this watch on ebay after the bidding was over, and probably would have bought it if I had known.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... AA:US:1123

Does anyone know the name, model, specs, etc?

I would really to buy one, but don't know where else to look. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

Real unusual, I dont think that its genuine.
But ask for the serial number and a photo of the movement.

B'museum,

with all respect I honestly don't believe that you are the right person to comment if a watch are genuine or not, as you have a long record of holding faked watches, and watces that has been restored to death with non original dials, parts etc for sale.

And as if it wasen't enough, you have the impudence to the state here that they are original.

You are deliberately trying to twist the picture of original Vintage Breitling watches into your own advantage with your fountain of wrong informations.

Any dial that looks that good is suspect, even a NOS watch is unlikely to look that rich because of fading, aging, etc.

The fact that there are that many photos without any movement shots also sets off all kinds of alarms for me. The caseback is clearly suspect and I think that you had a lucky escape. Based on the sale price there may be some people who disagree with me!

B’museum thanks for asking, but no - I grew up in a good & loving family, which most likely is part of the reason to my success in life today, and now I have one of my own.

My dad always told me never to steal from / or try to cheat - other people, I guess that if my dad had been your dad, you would have had a good & decent business today, and not be selling crap.

We are all here for the love of watches, our biggest fear is to run into a guy like you, and loose the money we have worked so hard for by buying one of you worthless fakes or “put together pieces”. There are many examples and many scary stories about ruthless sellers out there.

Take a guy like Julius who just posted here, he took his time and did his homework, but they don’t all do so (and you know), and by not doing it they risk up ending in your wreck yard and waste their money.

Why don’t you do the watch world a favor and disappear :yeahthat

Erm... upbringing stories aside...

Thanks for the info on the timepiece. I certainly would be curious to hear any other expert opinions on whether this is a species of Breitling that actually exists in the wild, or just some frankenwatch.

Regarding the lack of movement photos, the guy who was selling it looked like he doesn't sell many watches -- so maybe he was just afraid of opening it?

My heart aches for this blue beauty though. I want to know more...

I wouldn't assume that piece is remotely a Breitling unless I saw the inside of the back cover and the movement. Notice that on both prior watches he sold he showed the movements. For some reason he chose not to do so on this auction. You can come to your own conclusions.

I second the opinion that this is not a Breitling too...

I agree as well its like nothing we have ever seen, I would understand it more if it had Breitling Geneve on the dial as some of the early ones did, But this has a similarity to the premier but its not one of those, I would always go by what Rodd says and if he dosent like it walk away.
Yo me it has the air of one of those coming out of south america at the mo thats a total fabrication.

Erm, Breitling didn't move to Geneva until 1952!
