The reference number should be on the back of the watch - likely 3 or 4 digits. The serial number (6 digits) may be on the back, or it may be on the inside of the caseback. If you can post photos (or at least provide a probable reference number) we can probably help you more.

824017 is the serial number - I'll check on the year that it matches up to when I get home. 1193 is the model number - it should be a chronograph from the 50s with subdials at 3 and 9 and a Venus 188 movement.

I got two PMs from the same person telling me that the pictures showed a Valjoux 7730 rather than a Venus 188 - that shows amazing insight as when I look at this string I don't see any pictures, but anyway......

Movements were interchangeable to a degree in watches of this era so it may well be a Valjoux 7730 in your watch - if you can get a photo of the movement we can determine for sure.

Back to your specific watch, your serial number dates it to 1953, at that time there wasn't a specific name / range for every watch - Benno Richter describes it as a round case, with square buttons and a 30 minute counter, but doesn't specifically give it a model name.
