BTW the Rolex is fake also, they never used incabloc. Rolex owns the patent on Kif shock absorption.

@packrat, when was Kif invented - I had in the back of my head that Rolex used incabloc when it first came out in the 30s (though I am far from a Rolex guru).

Roff, you could be right, although I spent a lot of time researching Valjoux 22 based Rolex chronographs. It seems the fakes can fool a lot of people. (yes, myself included) I guess I should have researched prior to purchase. No it wasn't off the internet. Lesson learned.

The Breitling is a primitiv fake, the Rolex I dont know. i am just beginnig to learn Rolex.

Really? According to Dowling and Hess they never did.

When discussing a fake Rolex they stated:
"But the clincher was the watch was shockproof and used the classic Incabloc system. Rolex was one of the owners of Incabloc's main competitor Kif, and always used the Kif-flector method of shock absorption."

Perhaps better information is around, but that is the best I have at this point.

I can't find anything in my references for when Kif first appeared. It would seem to me that Rolex would only use incabloc if Kif wasn't available (i.e. if it hadn't been invented yet), and as I said, Rolexes are a long way away from my speciality so I wouldn't want to say with confidence. I just had in my mind that there were some Rolexes with incabloc.
