Thought I would post a couple quick pics of Paul's outrageous Copilot. I was a pleasure to work on this one mainly because it had no prior bad repair work that I could find. A few specs: the dial is 34.5mm making it the biggest I have ever seen on a Breitling with a Venus 178. The case is around 40mm and the bezel is 42mm making it a nice big size chrono. Paul is a lucky guy to find this one.....

No, the back of the case is not warped, just the way the pic turned out. Had to go easy on polishing the back so as not to remove the logo. Craig

Here are a few more pics of Paul Copilot:

15 minute sub register gears....

A bit of Breitling/Venus trivia - the earlier Copilots used a set of 15 minute gears (on the left) in the early Copilots but they had problems with them working properly. To solve the problem they went back to the 30 minute gears (on the right) and used a double pointer on the chrono runner to advance the sub register hand 1/2 minute at 30 seconds and at 60 seconds as the sweep hand went around. I found 4 sets of these gears about 5 years ago and they are probably the rarest part of any Venus chrono movement. I sold 2 sets for $100 each to a buyer in Europe and kept the other 2 for myself. Someday I will find a Copilot that needs these gears and it will be all mine...I hope.
In answer to the above question - I cannot dance or sing!

Amazing work as always - those 15 minute gears look fairly heavy - surprised that they are solid.

So with the gear design change in mind, does that mean there are some copilots out in the market that need the updated gears too?

Looks awesome Craig. I particularly love the "operating table" pics. Amazing work.
