Paul: This one, if correct and right, is for me... so hands off

I found this same reference number posted on Breitling Israel but the dial does look different (one on Breitling Israel)... I believe batons vs. numbers for this one... dial looks untouched... any input Roff or Paul?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... K:MEWAX:IT

And what is the "29" at the end of the serial for?

EDIT: nevermind... the V in Geneve looks off... the V is not sharp... possible redial?

This is a genuine watch from 1952, look a similar watch in my original 1952 cataloge

And dond believe Breitlingisrael in any kind
1. all the photos in Breitlingisrael are stolen from other websites, 30 % are my photos
2. in Breitlingisrael they dont proof the photos and never saw any of this watches in real, they also show a lot of fakes

I don't like the Breitling on the bridge, although as I have been said before these non chronos are one of my weak spots. That said, it really would surprise me if the bridge engraving were original.

The rest looks OK to me - I don't think it's a redial.

Okay so after taking everyone's input, I did some research and found a bunch (I mean a bunch) of these non-chrono manual wind Breitlings from the 50's (ebay, chrono24, NAWCC webpage, watchuseek), I find that the engraving is mostly consistent with every one of them. Of course, doesn't mean a thing... but... who knows...

If you can find a lot of consistent ones then that's a pretty good sign - I would trust that over me on this sort of thing!!

Pretty common model. Don't really see anything wrong with this one. Be aware that some coming out of China on ebay are redials but otherwise look correct. I think I'd pass on this one because there are ones that come up often in better condition, and it's all about condition isn't it? :)

Too late... I put in a bid... but my highest bid is not too high... If I get REAL LUCKY, then I can pick it up for pennies and it'll be a nice fixer upper...

Or I'll just get outbid and oh well... move onto the next one...
