Looks like a very nice 806, but I'm a total heathen when it comes to vintage watches : if that watch was mine I'd be having it relumed in a flash!

I know that would amount to heresy and I know it TOTALLY defeats what vintage models are about but I guess that just goes to show that I should never dabble in vintage pieces.

Hands are OK for a 2nd generation 806. 1965 / 6 dating is also consistent with the small white subs, but I would like a photo showing the serial number to confirm. The script B on the caseback also looks a little odd - may just be the photo angle.

The sliderule is definitely a replacement - not a big deal, but nonetheless, not right.

The movement looks OK, but the bridge looks like it could have been shaved - may just be too much light in the photo, but it looks much brighter than the balance cock for example (though the WOG on the balance cock is a good sign).

Not bad, but there are better ones out there. Guess it depends on price.
