I finally found one with this style dial...

Didn't know there was a caliber 15 though...

Don't know why but it is very difficult for me to find one with this dial~

NO WONDER~!!! At first I thought no way... then I saw that the second bridge with the "seventeen 17 jewels unadjusted" was missing...

what a shame...

Standard Cal 15 by Breitling. Had a few and don't see anything wrong with this one. Heuer and a variety of others used the same layout. Here's a pic of the Bulove version. You guys are really going to freak when you see a Cal 14 with the extra GMT hand.

:wowzers

I guess that's what you get for assuming that the 11 / 12 / 14 / 15 series were minor enhancements. I've seen a bunch of 11s and 12s, but I guess that I've never seen a 15

Haha...wish I hadn´t :) Well... I think I will stick to Cal 11 and 12 When it comes to chronomatics.....think 15 look´s halfdone.... And the dial doesn´t speak to me the way I would like it to do.... :)

Have a nice day.....gardening day today = Old Seiko Diver on the wrist.....

Actually here's the dial off one of them I bought a couple of years ago as a parts watch. It had been in water and the inside was pretty rusted so there wasn't much I could use. Definitely not my favorite dial but still pretty rare to find.

I don't know... I kinda like the asymmetrical look... many subdials are usually evened out but this one looks unique... but that's for sure... I can't find too many of them... the first time I saw them was in the link you or the professor sent me to the 1969 catalogue on Breitlingsource.

Haha... I belived you all where joking when you tought it was something missing from this Cal.15 movement...

It's a perfectly fine Breitling/Heuer caliber 15. A cheaper version of caliber 12. I has a running seconds hand in stead of a hour counter.

Here's my Heuer Autavia caliber 15. One of the rarest Autavias.

That's very nice~

Looks beautiful... so another question... when did the caliber 15 officially come out? Read an interesting article on the web on Project 99 and I know the caliber 11 was debuted in '69...

The case serial number dates to 1969: 1328407

It is not a correct movement for 1969.

Okay me being the paranoid one... I just retracted my bid... but I couldn't find the serial number anywhere in the pictures... I wanted to make sure again and again... But are you sure chronomania? Because if you aren't, then I'm gonna regret that I missed this one... (you know I'm joking right?)

Always good to get an opinion or two... or three... that's why I love this forum...

Besides, I thought it was a bit strange too that a seller from Switzerland with only a feedback rating of 4 all of a sudden is hawking vintage watches... :? But I was just thinking that even someone's gotta start somewhere so I just let that mentality fly and was blinded by what he offered... who knows...
