Ok you people seem to be pretty sharp. I have an interesting watch I bought a few years ago. On the dial it is spelled as Wakman with one n at the end instead of the common Wakmann spelling. Inside the back is A. Reymond ltd. Tramelan swiss.
So my initial thought was the watch was not related to the Breitling importer. But wait, on the balance cock is HOB which according to my info is for the Jackson W co. Wakmann. I have been unable to gather any other info. Ideas??

That's completely new to me. Pretty sure that they are separate from Breitling as the movement code is registeres separately, but not come across them before. I'll check my reference material this evening, but don't get your hopes up!

I guess my question would be is this the same Wakmann that imported Breitlings? I have never heard of them importing anything else. The pusher type and movement (Venus) are Breitling-esque, but so are dozens of other watches from that era. Thanks for taking the time to look at it. Any info would be more than what I have now.

Breitling purchased Wakmann Watch Company of New York as a way around the ban on importing assembled watches, but Wakmann were an importer of Swiss watches in their own right, so it's entirely possible that this is a pre acquisition piece.

No idea on the spelling difference though.
