I'm not a big computer geek type, but I just got a 24" computer monitor and DAMN it looks sweet!! Now I want a 30" Computer Monitor!!!!!! Or maybe just 2 of these 24" monitors in dual :)

It still bugs my why a 30" LCD for a computer costs as much as a 42" LCD TV.

Get close to a 30" LCD TV and see hpw it looks compared to a computer monitor, the technology is basicly the same but optimised differently. Besides almost all LCD TV have a VGA input, I have my Home Theater PC hooked up to my LCD TV to stream media to it.

What brand and resolution did you get?

By the way getting a decent video card can really make that mnitor shine!!!

Yeah yeah yeah - I know all about these huge LCD monitors, and how wonderful the image is etc., but personally I find I get much better colours with a bottle of Talisker...

The one I got is a Dell Ultrasharp one... it is the kind that you can look at the monitor from any angle and it looks good.. has a height adjustable stand, and it also does the rotating sideways so it can be vertical too!

Does Picture in picture so I can hook it up to a DVD player or TV or whatever too... I really like it. I had a 20.1" Ultrasharp before and I liked it too.

Its great for many useful things such as increasing productivity and improving the breitlingsource site for all of you. The monitor will certainly not be used for anything unproductive such as porn

Youtube - indeed. I will be posting more videos soon :)

Three years ago, my boss came up to me and asked for a few minutes in private... he had just realised I'd been there for 20 years. He thanked me for all my hard work and committment over the years and told me he was going to buy me a present to reflect his gratitute.
My mind raced. Wow, I thought...an Aston V8 perhaps ? He knew I loved them...nah, too expensive. Some other car then ? Nah, I remember telling him once that the only car I'd ever enjoy owning is my Supra or the Aston...shot myself in the foot there then.
A high-end watch perhaps ? Not a Breitling surely ?...nah, I remembered that I'd have to wait another 5 years for one of those.
Maybe Id be palmed off with a pair of socks emblazoned with the company logo and I'd have to smile with false gratitute, careful to disguise a resentful grimace (shudder). So I waited with anticipation, a few beads of sweat on my forehead...
"I have difficulty looking at your computer screen" he announced, "so I'm buying you an Apple 30" monitor for work".
"Thanks very much !" I gushed. Only half of me meant it.
