Whats your favorite brands? I mostely smoke Cohibas and Hoyo De Monterrey, some Partagas for a change of pace but will smoke any handmade habano really if its aged properly and has matured well enough.

I can't afford Cohiba's well.. actually I just find they're too expensive. I enjoy the Montecristo No.2 personally, but any hand rolled cuban works for me... don't really know much about aging them or anything though.

Cohibas are expensive, but like fine watches, you get what you pay for!

Of cource in Canada ALL tobacco is overpriced due to the extreme taxes Never been there personaly but I know alot of Canadians who buy overseas to beat the tax.

The Hoyo No.2 is a MAGNIFICENT cigar, when aged three to five years it can turn into a fine, fine cigar, always chocolatey and no shortage of creme.

That reminds me, I'm due for a good smoke right about now

I don't get to enjoy a Cuban cigar unless I'm on vacation. Thanks to our fine government and a little 'embargo" that got started back in 1962.

I do like a MonteCristo, but I also like Partagas, Romeo y Julieta, Cohiba/Habanos.

Hopefully in the near future I'll be able to travel there, and purchase items from Cuba like the rest of you guys that aren't residing in the US.

LOL at Brian, I went to vegas earlier in the year and had a couple of Romeo y juliet no 2 cos i knew I couldn't get any out there, and was offered over $100 for one!!!
Apparently there is a big fine if I sold them! But i didn't, i smoked them playing craps

I like Montecristo and Partagas. Some of my favourites are Montecristo No. 2, Partagas Serie D No. 4 and Punch Punch.

I see you have refined taste, have you tried the Hoyo Epicure No.2?


Do most of you age your cigars or just smoke them? It seemes to me in my expirience that alot of fine cigars are not given the chance to reach their full potential and are smoked at a young age, such a waste

One of the most coveted phraces in the cigar world but one that is often misunderstood. Many people treasure there cigars and hesitate to smoke that "special box" waiting for the right occasion even if they are fully matured and at there prime. While others simply will light up anything they have infront of them.

Cigars are very much like wine, they should be allowed to come to age and mature properly, and when ready should be smoked and be celebrated in within themselves. I truely feel sorry for someone who has not tasted the perfection that is a fine, matured Epicure No.2 or who sits on a perfect 6 year old box of Montecristo No.2's

So....smoke em if you got em...and they are mature enough

We smoke Cohiba's, Christo's, Romeo's and Uppmans. And I agree on the aging thing. Right now I have some Cohiba Sublimes in my humidor that are about 17 months old. Naviman is total cigar lunatic, his motto is "Logs Are My Life" we call cigars "Logs". He smokes 5 a day. He goes through about 3 regular Dominican's at the office every day and then 2 more premium Cubans after he get's home. I smoke TUBES (cigarettes) during the day and when it's not too hot here like in the fall and winter I have at least 1 Cuban at night during the week and then on weekends I can get up to 3 a day.

Wow.. that's a lot of tobacco! I'm on this health kick. Quit smoking about 5-6 years ago.. started again last year and smoked for about 6 months and quit again.

Indeed!!! I think that most fine things are better enjoyed in moderation but hey whatever works for you!!! Good to see alot of board members enjoy cigars.
