Our beaches in Newcastle have been closed for the last seven days, at the height of Summer, because of two very large sharks: one a five meter (!) Great White and the other a three meter Tiger.

Lifeguards at our main beach found a dolphin washed up on the beach that had been bitten neatly in two from behind. They also got footage of the tiger eating a dolphin alive about 200m from where swimmers were ignoring the "beached closed" signs.

And this is Summer!

Haha, the joys of living here! We were out driving some trails yesterday and came back through the area devastated by bushfire two weeks ago...................
