Hey guys, hope you are all well?

I just realized I hadn't posted for a while, well, certainly not since emigrating from the UK to Perth, Western Australia!

Anyways, we are here and settled in, it's certainly different than the UK, in a very pleasant way.

Haven't spotted many Breitlings here at all, other than one of my bosses who's recently bought a SuperOcean Heritage.

I popped in to the Perth Watches of Switzerland yesterday to get a price on a new Seawolf, Cobra Yellow on the Pro III bracelet and was offered a great price right off the bat, they are checking availability for me and then I'll get one ordered, apparently there's a distributor change going on here in Oz at present.

Hopefully now that we've settled in I'll have a bit more time on the forum, but of course it's summer here now, I've just bought a Toyota FJ Cruiser and shopping for three canoes for the family so hoping to make much use of the outdoors too!

Stef

Good to see you're settling in Stef. I bet the weather's a bit nicer than A*se-freezing Britain! It's sunny here today, but mightily cold. Have a good one mate and post some picture of your new hometown to make all us Brits jealous!

I will do mate. Sorry we didn't get a chance to grab a beer before we left. Timelines got compressed once the visa was approved and we had to depart the UK quicker than anticipated, no bad thing though right!

Free accommodation here though if ever you need it!

Welcome to Perth, Western Australia Stef.
Might have to catch up for a pint or two next time I'm down visiting my relics.
Make sure you head down south a bit to Margaret River for some great wine sampling as well as sight seeing.

Good on ya mate!

Thanks! That would be great to catch up next time you are around.

We went down to MR in October, loved it, would be quite happy living down there, bit of a commute to Perth CBD though!

We are off up to Shark Bay on the 22nd for a few days, lovely 10 hour drive each way, makes you realize how big WA is!

Welcome to Oz! Perth's a fantastic city. Relaxed people, down to earth, great lifestyle. Lovely beaches too but big bities in the water. Ready yourself for the summer heat tho! It's not uncommon for it to break the 100F mark for a week or so at a time.

Thanks for the welcome!

Have you always been in Oz, for some reason I thought you lived in the US?

We've been here since July so it's given us a chance to acclimatise slowly!

We have a few hot days towards the weekend coming, looking forward to it.

Yeah it is a real shame we didn't get to grab a beer, mate. You may regret that (fantastic) offer of accommodation one day though Stef! Would be great to catch up at some point.

You'd be more than welcome matey, if and when I can convince myself to come back to the South Coast for a visit I will give you a call.

Oh, by the way, my mate that bought your Olympus, is here in Perth visiting family, we are having a catchup on Saturday, not sure if he still has the Oly though.

Haha, no offense intended! I've known you from on here for a few years, no idea why I thought that to be honest!
