Wow well done on the move. My wife is always saying she would love a move to a better economy and more so, climate. We're always saying if only this, if only that. I guess its not really an option for us at the moment and it's always there as a nice thought.
I guess you had work line up over there?

Would you say it was an easy transition?

It was a lot easier than we anticipated! I got a job offer with a sponsored visa, so the whole process was pretty quick.

It took about 12 months of thinking about it and starting to get the wheels in motion. I flew over a couple of times to check things out, meet my prospective employer etc.

From the point of job offer to arriving took 3 months.

I'm in IT Security and luckily my specialist area hadn't quite arrived here yet, however, that's going to rapidly change in 2015!

I think the economy here in Perth is slowing a little, I've certainly noticed more houses for sale and rent than this time last year, and the prices are dropping but the houses are taking a long time to sell or rent.

I'm on the east coast but we keep hearing things are slowing in Perth. Chinese economy not what it was.
