FWIW, I have used Braun electric shavers for maybe 15 yers now, owning a couple different models as the the previous one finally wore out and died. Well, this finally happened again--I think I had the 8596. So I just bought a new Braun Series 7 960cc, and it's absolutely amazing. Best razor I've ever owned, by far. |

I fully agree, I have used Braun for 35 years now and they just keep getting better and better. I wouldn't even think of shaving with another brand. |

I'm about to join the world beyond safety razors. I think I'm going to get a straight edge unless someone can convince me a double edge is better |

The double edge has more control with it's handle, whereas the straight edge is more of a technique you perfect over a course of time. Much easier to make a mistake with a straight edge no doubt. It's really a lost art. Lately I've just been using a Gillette. |
