Few years back I felt lucky enough to survive so just replaced it with the current version. From this:

Sadly I actually liked the Z3 better. Seemed more like the MGs and Triumphs from days of the past. The Z4 while nice is just another car. :|

I recommend you test drive the very latest Z4. It's a great drive and just "felt" better to me when I test drove one myself.

My good lady has just treated herself to a Z4, I have to admit it is a beautiful car. Only 2.5 litres but goes well, it's lovely to see the bonnet rise when you hit the loud pedal.

Really? Good to hear. I have sort of been out of the car loop for the past few years. I was just talking to someone at a beer festival and he told me BMW is now offering a twin turbo 4 cylinder in the Z4, not sure if that replaces the straight 6 or just another offering. Don't get me wrong the Z4 is a way "nicer" car than the Z3 for creature comforts and the like, but my Z3 was just a blast to drive. Stripped down old school feel, loved the hard top and snow tires for the winter time as well. The 4's top is so nice you don't need the hard top.

I'm (relatively) poor and have to choose two out of three from driving, riding and flying, so my current wheels...

I'm taking my driving test soon, but probably won't get a car until I'm less poor.

I can only afford one Breitling and so it goes without saying, my car is modest too :D . But I love it :D .

It's a 3 door Mk4 turbo diesel golf (standard at 150 bhp remapped to 190 bhp). It goes like greased weasel poo  .

If you're happy with your wheels then you're a happy man. You may have only one Ling but it's one of the best!
