Plus it makes one realize just how perfect the BMWs really are. And I do not mention that only to have Tomcat forgive me the move from Bavarian perfection to French... well, whatever one wants to qualify it as ;)

There is nothing to forgive my dear Fed. On the contrary, I appreciate your thought. :D

It has been some time since I posted something on the forum, even if I try to read the threads but that is the consequence of a major change in my life, I do not make the rules. I really miss the forum though and everything that goes with it.

Sorry to read that mate, hope nothing too bad?

It's nice to see you're still around though!

Just bought this 2013 GTI outright after finally driving my 2000 Honda Accord coupe into the ground (R.I.P. little buddy :boohoo: ).

I like the 4-door practicality of the VW along with its small size - perfect for Chicago living. It's beautiful on the inside and has a fair amount of get-up-and-go. Having owned Japanese cars all my life, I feel I might be in for a surprise with respect to reliability and "cost to own", but am very happy with car thus far.

Ha! That is my hometown in NJ (took the picture on a visit home) and what you're seeing is the result of a local teenager texting and driving! It's absolutely nuts out there....

Well ummm I drive a white t5 van all day,
I have a vw t4 caravelle with the odd mod, I drive a Toyota supra when I get the chance, I have a vw golf cab that I have just bought for fun ( although I'm supposed to be grown up it scraps on the floor , has my favourite borbet wheels from the good old 1980's)
And last but not least a baja bug that hopefully will be on the road by Xmas?
So to summarise cars kinda come first in my life lol
