Holy old threads batman!

Bumped by something that will likely become spam in the next couple of days, but I ended up buying a T510, had it for a couple of years now, and very happy with it. Keyboard is starting to look a little the worse for wear, but then I have written a couple of hundred articles, several white papers, countless e-mails, a book and one or two BreitlingSource posts on it

I won't consider purchasing any laptop other than a Lenovo ThinkPad. I've had my T420s for about 1.5 years and have never had a significant issue. There are a few weird quirks that pop up every now and then, but overall, it's the best laptop I've ever had. Prior to this I had a T510 (I think) that was issued by my previous employer. I had no issues with that either, but it was a heavy beast.

To answer the guy's question who brought this thread back from the dead, yes, a ThinkPad is better than any Dell IMHO. However, all I've had are the ThinkPad series, so I can't speak for the other lines Lenovo offers.

That guy wasn't interested in opinions, and that post is no longer here - not really surprising.

What book Roff? If it's mainstream I'd love a chance to read it...

Decidedly not mainstream!

Coming out in the spring and the kind of book that you read because you are expected to - organizational risk management related. It was a compromise with the publisher - the book they wanted this time to allow me to write something that I want to do next time.
