Just wondering if anyone here is into 2-channel audio? I'm not HUGE into it... like i'm not dropping $10K on Amps and $30K on speakers, but I have a fairly respectable rig..

Here is half of it.. anyone else have pics/stories/specs to share?

I used to be into "stereo" back in the 70's....but then I got married had kids and now its a discrete 8.1 surround purely to watch movies on.....never get time to sit down and listen to "music", I guess in the car is the only place, and thats generally the radio now...for traffic info!

You know.....I don't think I even miss it now.....old fart alert!!!!!!!!!!

Best regards David

I'm still using the 2 channel mode in my Pioneer VSX 49TX receiver when listening to my turntable or CDs. I guess this receiver has complete versatility when it comes to old fashioned stereo or today's movie soundtrack in Dolby Digital THX. I can't see myself going separates in the future, there's not a whole lot of space left in my entertainment system esp. with a 65" widescreen in the center. Besides I am very happy with my receiver and I haven't even used all its features! :D

I have a separate setup for my home theatre, which does use a Yamaha receiver of some sort... unsure of the models as I don't really keep up on the multi-channel stuff, only the 2-channel stereo. The sound from a dedicated 2-channel system is on a completely different level than my home theatre is for music.

Wow I overlooked this post. I spent two year professionally installing home and car audio and competing in car audio sound comp's. That was a while back though. I now own my own home recording studio using Pro Tools on a Mac. I will post pic's soon. I think my attention for detail in audio may be leaking over to watch movements?!?

I still love a good listening session in front of my overpriced stereo, but my interests are not quite as bold in that direction anymore either.. I have a buddy that runs protools on his Mac in his studio too.. its in his home but he rents time out and engineers music for local artists.
