Yes you can buy a digi back for the blads, but quite frankly unless your producing magazine covers every week its not worth the investment, I could buy several Bentleys and have change.....in fact if I bought a digi back for every blad I had I could buy a bentley with wheels!

Wow really? Did not know they were that expensive! jebus crites!

Well almost......I think the last time I got a quote for a back it was around £19,000  , of course I would have only needed a couple, but had I bought one for each blad....2x ELM's, 3x 500CM'x, 1x 2000FC's, 2x 503CXi's oh yes and the SWC..... its a pity the blads don't fetch more on the seconhand market now or I could have had a whole stable of Rolex, Omegas and Breitlings

Oh well.....off to bed, gonna test the lume now :P

Best regards David

And the latest incarnation the Avantage does in fact have a backlight, but unfortunately you get the blinged up cardinal figures and a thicker watch case to go with it....exactly the reason I went for the B75 version, and the lume is excellent, easily a match for that on my SMP's....can still be read at 4 in the morning.....not sure why I would need the stop watch to be read in the dark....and I need no suggestions thank you, thats one thing I try not to rush!

Best regards David

Oh David.. you Brits are always thinking dirty aren't you? ;) I think the backlight is more for pilots or other people that need to use the UTC or second time zone in low-light conditions... and its cool to have a greeny glow for fun.. and i like the design of the mechanism.. how when you activate the changer the second hand stops, and then u turn on the backlight and it stays lit while u are using the functions.. then about 5 seconds after u stop pushing anything then it turns off.. its just neat.

Hey then you would love the X-33.....use the backlight on that and the light stays on until you have finished your business (pardon the expression!) then as the light turns off the scond hand catches up as it will have stopped whilst the light was on....very cool....also the backlight is bright enough to enable you to see very slightly in complete darkness, designed specifically for inside that power failed return orbiter

Seriously though I cannot foresee a situation where I will need the backlit functions on the Aerospace....well many....so I am happy and very picky about a good lume on my watches.....so the little beauty is just perfect, for now

Best regards David

Just a quick thought......the Aerospace has no seconds hand, which I find a very nice feature on a quartz watch...I do not like the large stepper motor effect of quartz second hands.....and hell....why do you need one when you have a digital display that shows them very precisely if your that fussy?

Thats another big plus of the Aerospace for me, lack of a stepper-second hand.........just like my Omega SM120 multifunction

This also has all the digital functions of the Aerospace and controlled from the crown.....but not much lume, best worn as a dress watch and probably the most comfortable watch I own!

Best regards David

I dunno.. I just haven't warmed up to the Omegas.. I like the Seamaster Pro, Non-Bond, black dial.. but nothing else really strikes me in the Omega Lineup.. maybe SOME of the new Deville Co-Axials and their ultra-expensive ones are nice looking.

I must admit I am not a keen fan of the skeletal hands.....probably why I have never gone for the "bond" but the normal SMP or in my case the GMT I love......black and white....one for day and one for night!

They are...and I thank you, you flatter me, but I would have spent a lot more time on them and a lot more time in photoshop if they were or publication

Now its time for bed...

Best regards David
