I do not think that your statement is accurate.

I count mine as one of a few in a 10 page thread. Primarily BMW owners I've seen.

Hyundai Veloster

Nothing special but its decent looking, well built, gets 40mpg, and I bought it new in cash rather than financing it and paying twice for it (mine's blue)

Nice, but you mounted the wing the wrong way around... Could be a problem when it comes to downforce ;)

Aren't I forever seeing 0% financing deals on Hyundais? Besides, unless you're financing it over a gatrillion years or have horrible credit you'll rarely pay much of a premium on a car loan. I find myself better off by investing the money I would have bought the car with and financing it at some uber cheap rate, or using a tax deductible HELOC.

That would be me. I'm still progressively recovering from near-credit ruin due to medical illness.

These days, a Peugeot 107 from my company's motor pool (French company, French cars) is giving my 3 series some time off... An entirely different experience I have to say... This car is a bit like fitting an engine to a shopping cart: entirely rubbish but extremely fun in its own way.

Plus it makes one realize just how perfect the BMWs really are. And I do not mention that only to have Tomcat forgive me the move from Bavarian perfection to French... well, whatever one wants to qualify it as ;)

This goes not to say anything against Peugeot though. This 107 may be cheap in every way, but it is very fun. And in the rather less cheap category, the RCZ a colleague of mine has is a brilliant looking car in its own right!

There is nothing to forgive my dear Fed. On the contrary, I appreciate your thought. :D

It has been some time since I posted something on the forum, even if I try to read the threads but that is the consequence of a major change in my life, I do not make the rules. I really miss the forum though and everything that goes with it.
