After buying a Maratac Elite strap for my Seawolf, I thought I'd take a gamble and buy one with red contrast stitching for my SA in the hope that the contrast stitching would kind of work with the red text and markings on the dial, I like it, what do you guys think?

While biting my lip and trying hard to overcome by OEM OCD  , I have to admit it looks good!

I like the color combo and think it works well. I'm not 100% about the "non-leathery" look of the strap, the first look is a bit too sporty in my opinion, but it might very well be that the second look grows on me. And as you already said you liked it - that's what's important. :)

I like the sporty look of the strap and it looks pretty comfortable

I like the strap, but for me it doesn't go that well with the SA. It looks a bit flimsy for such a big watch and a bit too matte.

Any strap looks great on that watch. That one accents it well.

I can't say that I don't like it, but would not be my choice, and I just couldn't put my finger on it. The above comment by Tunnel Ling, though, seems to sum it up.
Like Driver8, I have to try and get over my "fear" of getting a non OEM strap. Some of the aftermarket straps look great. That strap of yours is a wonderful looking strap, but I feel that a leather or even rubber would look better.

Cheers,
Carl

Surprising how well the red stitching picks out the red of dial markings even though they're both very small areas..............looks good Stef.

It might even look better on a black dial.
