Since I bought mine, and posted all the pics and comments, it seems I started a feeding frenzy, as two more members have bought Hercs. I happen to know that Steve (Cuckoo4watches) will be receiving his today, so I want to see some pics. Its payback time. Christopher (Legamker)... haven't seen any pics from you either? come on guys, post those Hercs!

Tried a strap on mine... not my taste, but Steve seemed to like it. Also did a bunch of comparison shots with my PO chrono...

I haven't seen it on leather before. That looks great!

That strap look awesome, I think! Where did you have it made?

The rest of the pics are very good too - the Hercules look like it's going to eat the PO several times!

I'm not so keen on the strap, but that's probably because I've worn mine for just about every day over the last 2 years with the metal bracelet.

Now you are going to have to forgive me on this, being more of a vintage fan, not up on new fangled Lings. But, and here is the stupid question, can someone explain the 2 hands on the dial at 6. Its a new one one me.

Love the watch though and think the strap works.

Happy wearing!

Not my words but this explains it: A 60-minute totalizer with center hand guarantees peerless readability for any chronograph measurement under one hour. For longer times, a single totalizer with two hands combines the hours and minutes, enabling read-off of the time elapsed as one would normally read the time, meaning instantly unmistakably. THis optimal legibility is made possible by a 38-jewel Caliber 39, a chronometer-cerified Breitling proprietary movement.

I'll take some shots this weekend Mark and post them up! I'll be wearing the Herc today..
Love the Herc-PO comparison shots Mark. Two great watches there!
So what color did Steve go for? Was it the white?
Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the strap really. I usually like straps on a rugged looking watch, but it seems to take the "Herc" out of the Hercules for me. Maybe it's the integrated strap fit between the lugs..not sure.
Someone posted a brushed BB on a distressed leahter strap and it worked for me...go figure!
You certainly did start a Herc revival!

Mark, Where did you have the strap made? I really like that look. I picked up a slate w-Steven as a spec watch but I may keep it with the strap option. I'll post photos as well....cool watches, Herc club?

Hey guys, thanks for all the Kudos on the strap. I actually didn't like it, my feelings were similar to Legmaker's, it took the Herc out of Hercules. Where did I have it made? On my desk :D I just took a 24mm Panatime Crazy Horse, and my trusty X-acto knife and notched it myself. I've already offered it to Cuckoo4watches if he wants it (and I think he will).

Come on guys... pics... where are they?

its in superb condition too and was recently serviced by a Master Watchmaker just
before being sold to me so its good to go for a long while

runs like a top and I am actually impressed with the lume, its very good.
(unlike some of the other Lings I have had) :?
