Hey all!

Ty from Bozeman, MT - Been a watch geek for quite sometime now, and having also been an aviation enthusiast since the beginning, have always wanted to add a Breitling to my (small) but growing collection.

Decided today I'd go for a brand new 44mm Colt Chrono Auto (Ref:A1338811/BD83). I figured this would be a good start - within my budget, and a very "Breitling" looking piece.

This is my first "larger" watch, my other two being a 116610 SubC, and Omega Speedy Moonwatch (Hesalite crystal) so I'm not sure what to expect in regards to the 44mm size. Wrist is a tad over 7" last time I measured, so hoping it jives alright.

Very much looking forward to the watch arriving! Hoping to make this my everyday watch, and might look into the canvas or rubber straps down the line. If all goes well, I can definitely see a Navitimer and Super Ocean Heritage in my future ;)

Anyway, just excited and figured I'd introduce myself. Take care all!

Ty

Congratulations on the acquisition to your already nice group of watches. You do realize we will need a photo of the Colt when you receive it. :P
Be safe, Frank.

Welcome Ty,

Always good to have new members.

The colt is a great start, as you say, very “Breitling.” There’s a lot of change going on with the brand, so you’ve entered the club at a very interesting time.

Looking forward to seeing pics soon!

Take care

Davey.

Thanks all,

The watch should be arriving tomorrow! Funny you mention the brand changing direction, as I specifically purchased an earlier model (released in 2015 I believe?) as I very much enjoy the "B" logo with wings. I will say, the more I look at the Chronomat, the more they grow on me!

Just an update, love this darned watch! I have two other nice pieces in my small collection, but man - I find myself wearing this little (well not exactly) colt often. Something about it, feels good. Glad I ended up with one of pieces with the winged "B" logo. Love it!
