Totally normal, however, you have to take it back to the original AD that is listed on card (plus COSC certificate) to reset it/remove the fingerprint.

I didn't take mine to the original AD or take the COSC. They reset it in seconds at Andrew Michaels in the UK. Then I smudged it again when I got home! Steve.

I just bought a brand new Super Avenger II from tourneau, and 2 weeks later the card was a mess. Huge spots all over the card inside and you could not read any of the info. Went back and they replaced it no problem. Most of the spots came out of nowhere as the card was in the box, but once a few showed up, if I even slightly pressed it, it created a spot. Hope it does not happen to me again.

They are a form of e-ink screen, when they are put on to the reader it 'refreshes' the screen similar to a kindle and restores the display, takes seconds. They are a bit delicate for sure though, almost all of the ones that have come through our stores have varying levels of 'bleed' to them.
