Hello just purchased my first Breitling. I purchased the Avenger II with the diver band. My intent is for this to be my everyday watch. I am curious how easy these scratch being the crystal and bezel and if it can be buffed out ? Any insight is helpful.

Welcome to Breitling ! Crystal is Sapphire & hard to scratch, but is possible for instance if you brush up hard against rock. When I got my first one I found that not being used to the size I would knock against doorways & furniture. It took awhile to become conscious of the size. I could tell, at the end of the work day, I would find the bezel rotated.
As far as polishing scratches, you're going to get them. Eventually you get used to it. Remember every time you polish you'll round off the original edges.
The only way to prevent scratches is to not wear it ! It only took me a year to start trying to accept the inevitable

ENJOY

Welcome to the Forum and congratulations on the new Avenger. It takes a pretty good knock on the crystal to mark it up. The bezel is like any bezel, if you are knocking it into stuff it will scratch. I decided that my Seawolf was going to pick up character marks as I wore it and don’t obsess over scratches.

I will see how bad it looks when it goes for service and request a polish if there are marks bothering me. I might add that I may not send it to BUSA for service after reading some of the nightmares here. The local A.D. has a great service department and the 2824 is not that complicated.
