Well, I just noticed yesterday that the SOH 44 Chronograph has gone the way of the Passenger Pigeon on Breitling's website. I'm sad to see this, as I have always viewed this model as one of Breitling's best offerings. Guess we'll see what develops...

Hope this model will go smaller (40 mm) and get the B01.

At the moment, it looks like 42mm and 46mm are the two size variations in the SOH line. Wouldn't surprise me to see these two sizes become the standards for the SOH.

I think 40mm will be too small for the SOH, I try the new in 42mm, the Blue edition and something disturbed me about the size, this was a bit too small  The Black edition didn't let me this impression...

I would like to try the Bronze but I don't find it for the moment (I visited 7 AD...)

Well, everyone has a "perfect diameter" :) The first series of SOH came in 38 and 46 mm, nothing between. Then the 38 mm was phased out in favour of the 42 mm and the bicompax unlimited came in 44 mm case. One of my daily wearers is a Chronomat 41 and I feel her sometimes to be a tad on the large side. And don't forget: the Daytona is officially 40 mm, in practice rather 39 mm... I'd be happy with a sortiment coming 2-3-4 mm steps.... The non-chrono has now a Tudor in-house movement so I'm almost sure that the SOHC will come with a B01 - hopefully with the Tudor escapement... and the new ceramic bezel with the lume dot is quite a step forward on its own too... :)
Best,
Robert

You are right but actually the thickness of the SOH is 14,35mm so in my opinion make this model in 40 will deform the SOH...

If the SOHC will get the B01 it will be thinner by 0.7 mm and a tad narrower bezel (for the smaller case) can keep the good proportions. Anyway, I'd love to see one - and I'm sure many others would also be happy with such a model.

The only problem is, if they discontinue the Galactic line, that only leaves 1 line (Colt) for us ladies that don't want to wear monster sized (well, at least on us) watches...so I hope they keep a few ladies options (getting rid of the hideous StarWars bezel) in the 30mm range.

My wife is happy with her Colt Oceane (33 mm) and I'm sure there will be spare parts and service supply for quite a long time. And I think Breitling (like most competing brands) will not by-pass a huge portion of possible buyers: ladies who do not want to wear men's size watches. So do not worry!

Well a 44 mm 7750-based day-date chronograph has turned out to arrive instead of the 7753-driven one.

Unfortunately still on the large side but at least in the right direction. Hope at least a 42 mm (if not the ideal 40 mm) will also follow suit. Blue dial for me.
