Hi friends

Long time lurker but I just registrered to ask this question. My Colt GMT automatic has a few issues (GMT hand moves fine but cant be set anymore and the crown also feels a little rough when winding the watch).

Can anyone recommend me a good and relatively in-expensive independent watchmaker who can service my watch? I'm in Ontario but anywhere in Canada would work for me. I have nothing against American watchmakers but shipping the watch across the border creates problems unfortunately.

Thanks in advance!

No independent has access to Breitling parts, Breitling is the only option for an authorised service.

Interesting. I thought one of the good things about having a watch with an ETA movement was that "everyone" can service them? Am I wrong?

I was going to send it to this guy but he is busy. He lists Breitlings on his site. - http://torontowatchrepair.ca/services.htm

You paid a huge premium for a modified ETA movement, independent service will render it a generic movement.

You should contact time and gold in Vancouver. They have the first breitling boutique in Vancouver. They also do the warranty work for omega.

If these guys can't source the parts for you I'd be shocked
