Picked up an Avenger II Seawolf 3 months ago new from WatchMaxx and I'm noticing that when the crown is unscrewed, it has a scratchy feeling. Once it is pulled out into its first click and so on, it however, goes away... it is very annoying to me and I am positive that I haven't had the crown unscrewed near sand or the like. Anybody have any experience with what this could be? Seal or gasket in there worn? It's too new to have this kind of problem and I really want to resolve.

I'd thought of maybe spraying canned air around the crown when unscrewed but I really don't want to mess with seals.

Any help is appreciated!

Don't spray ? If something is between seals it will go into your watch
Take it back to your AD sounds like something may have broken

I have the same watch and mine also can feel the same when manually winding. Had mine for two years now and no issues, I did some research at the time and believe it is due to the crown seals needed for the 3000m water resistance.

This makes me feel much better. I'd hoped it was something along these lines and that I was just being paranoid. How often are you wearing yours?

I wear it whenever I'm not at work as I work with chemicals and magnetic machinery. I do keep it on a winder so I don't manually wind it that often.
