About 2 months ago, I purchased a pre-owned Navi World and ordered a Galactic 32 Sleek (for the Wife). Prior to picking my wife's watch, I noticed that the slide rule was not lining up with the dial. It was off enough to really bother me and it was one of those things that once you noticed it, you couldn't un-notice it. When I went to pick my Wife's watch, I showed my AD the issues. He actually offered to take the watch back, but he said before he would go that route, he would make a call. I assumed he was either calling his watch smith or BUSA. Given the watch was pre-owned, I really didn't think BUSA would do much, so I really thought he was getting a price from his watch smith to fix the slide rule. About 5 minutes later, two gentlemen walked in the store and he said that was who he had called. To my surprise, it was the President of BUSA and one of the Regional Sales Reps, who just happened to be in town and right down the road. He showed my watch to both of them, explained the issue, of which both agreed that this was QC mistake on Breitling's behalf. The Regional Sales Rep came over to me, said he would take care of the watch because Breitling prides themselves in having accurate and correct time pieces. I was in complete shock and could not believe how lucky I had just gotten. Breitling USA did in fact repair the watch as well as a basic service to the watch at no cost to me or my AD and turned it around in about 4 weeks. I have always been a fan of Breitling and jesters/customer service like this will keep me purchasing their watches for years to come.

Yes, I did purchase this watch pre-owned through my AD but no, the watch was not under warranty. That's why I shared this story. Breitling/BUSA basically could have said, not their problem, but instead corrected my watch acknowledging that this was a manufacturing issue that a customer couldn't have caused. Nonetheless, I got pretty lucky that day and I am quite grateful they corrected my watch for me.

Nice to hear this, there are a number of posts knocking Breitling customer service so it's good to hear a positive story (BTW, my experience has always been very positive)

dmwilson09, this is good to hear. My navi world has the same problem and it does irritate me sometimes,
I will stop by the breitling boutique in NY to have this taken care of.

sounds to me you had good options either way... the AD was willing to take it back! it's great to hear stories like this where the selling AD and BUSA were wiling to address the problem.

enjoy your navi world!

I can add to this...dropped my B50 at the NYC boutique for a very unusual problem, it would lose 5-6 seconds after setting and stay that just far behind. It was not user error, as I duplicated it many times against two atomic clock apps. The battery life was an issue as well. A charge would last forever but when it got to about 30%, it would just shut down. The watch was out of warranty by a week or two but BUSA covered it with no issue and I should get it back within a month of dropping it off. Other than these two problems, the watch has been a brilliant travel companion and multiple time zones are easily managed.

I never heard about BUSA service. But this makes sense with me. I have a black dial Chronomat 41 want to check and clean. Hope it works well with me

I've always had great experiences with BUSA customer service.

Lightning fast service as well.

I live 10 minutes from Breitling Headquarters in Wilton, CT.

Recently dropped off my Chronomat 44 GMT for a full service.

Received a call 14 days later that my watch was ready for pickup.
