How much would an Aerospace F18 limited edition that was issued to a squadron be worth? The case back has his name and rank inscribed and it comes with original Bakelite box, travel case, warranty booklet, certificate and extra Aerospace regular case back from another watch.

Thanks,

Will post pics tomorrow.

With the regular caseback the same as a regular Aerospace (assuming the dial is 'clean'), without it substantially less to 99.99% of people.

It has both and the dial is clean. Overall the watch is very clean but I will post some pics when I get it tomorrow. I got it from a jeweler friend and it has legitimately pulled G's in the F/A18.

I've watches that have legitimately pulled g's in Cessnas, P-3s, Boeings, Airbuses, etc. Also one that did it in F-14s, A-6s and S-3s as well as the mighty C-2. What's pulling Gs have to do with the value of the watch?

"Hey beautiful...see my watch? It's pulled Gs in a F/A-18.... Yeah that's my bed right over there...."

Whatever works for you I guess.

I have no idea what value pulling G's brings to the watch hence my original question. But at least my post helped you feel better about yourself. You're very clever...

I get it man. It's cool to you and that's what matters. I had a B1 once that I bought from an F-15 pilot. Just the generic model. I was Air Force as well and that meant something to me. When I sold it though, I made no mention.

Enjoy in good health.

The watch was never "issued" as the Navy doesn't pay for personal items like watches. You would buy them at a discount through a squadron order. I guess I'm in the .01% where the history is worth more to me than a generic Aerospace. That being said though they're slow sellers and generally sell for less than ordinary models because you have to have a connection to the military theme (which I do) or be a collector. The personal inscription would make it a hard sell though. The only watch that is worth mentioning, as far as pulling G's, is any chronograph fitted with the LeMania 5100 movement which was used by many military groups and issued to a few. Most quartz watches, like the Aerospace, can pull G's but not many mechanical watches can pull the serious G's of a modern fighter without stopping. Unfortunately your extra case back, while a good idea, wouldn't work as it probably doesn't match the serial number in the warranty book. Value would be on the lower side of a normal Aerospace in the same condition unless you just happen to find the right guy to buy it.
