Hi there,

I'm looking to purchase a chronomat 41 airborne but I was wondering on the thickness of the case.
Based on chrono24, the thickness is about 15.5mm. But after doing more research I found that the chronomat 44 has the same thickness...

Does this mean that only the diameter is different and the thickness is the same..? That would be a weird design flaw on the chronomats..

Could anyone advise?

Thanks!

A couple of watch sellers list the 44mm as 17mm thick. However, both sizes have the same movement, so I wouldn't be surprise they were the same thickness despite their width difference. More often than not, the extra width in wide watches is filled with air, not extra movement.

Breitling specs. the Chronomat 41 Airborne at 15.4mm and the Chronomat 44 at 16.95mm.

The 41 does feel a little chunky to me and that has kept me from purchasing one, 13mm would be more ideal.
