Hey guys,
I finally got the watch I've been after for ages! My first "real" watch. I had seen the Chronomat a few years back, but fresh out of college it was a feeling of "someday I'll get it." Now I've been at my job for 5 years, student loans paid off, so I figure what better time than now.

I originally fell in love with the 47mm GMT Blackeye Blue, but I just can't pull off a watch that big. I really wanted that look though with the polished bezel and minute indicators, rather than the extra 24hr scale brushed bezel. I decided I'd rather have the bezel choice, instead of the 44 GMT.

Ok now some details. I bought from an AD one state over. Chronomat 44 Blackeye Blue. Msrp 9060, was out the door for $6500 USD. No sales tax since I bought out of state and had it .... shipped (just on paper, I still drove over the state line and picked it up!). So all and all, before the sales tax I didn't pay, it worked out to 28% off. I'm super happy with that!

As soon as I figure out how to post pictures I will (it keeps saying file is too big).

Nice one, I ordered the 47mm GMT version last week after trying the 44mm one.

Got it figured out. A few shots with my other blue toys...
Also... I know I'm weird, I wear watches on my right wrist. I'm right handed, I've just done it ever since I was a young kid.

Congratulations on a great watch. The blackeyed blue is a good combo and it will also fit well with a croc or leather strap if you wish.
Hope you have many years of enjoyment with it.
Frank.

Congratulations on the chronomat 44.

It's not too big yet has the bulky look and fine detailing to satisfy...

I fully agree. I actually like a little busy look so this worked great. Considering my wrist is fairly small I like the look and heft of it.

Congrats! I used to wear watches on my right wrist since young but changed my habit a few years ago. Black eye blue to me is one of Breitling's "signature" and it's one of the best variants of the Chronomat IMO. Don't just appreciate the overall looks but zoom in to the minor details, especially the dial. You will discover more and more details that you don't find in other chronograph watches. If you manage to discover these details you will understand the amount of work they put into the watch and the intent of those details that will only make you love your watch even more. Wear in good health :lingsrock:
