I am looking to purchase my first Breitling, i am interested in the Navitimer GMT or 01 - Looking at 46mm or 48mm versions in a steel bracelet.

I like the Black Dial and Blue Dial Versions - Looking for suggestions, tips and user feedback.... they both look gorgeous.

Also looking for a good discount on these, I am based in the Bay Area, can buy here or from the UK.

So far only really found Watchmaxx who give 30-35% off and also Jomashop. Not sure if I get the full warranty.

Looking for an AD so that I can get a 5 year warranty if possible

When is this coming out?

I would guess that the discounts on this would not be so great!

How are Watchmaxx by the way?

You'll get a better price in the US generally than the UK in my experience. Look around for local AD's, and see if they have any blue dials in you can try on. They're not as common as black dials however. But if you go in, you can try some on and see what you like in person, and what kind of discounts you're able to get.

If you are looking in the UK, talk to Andrew Michaels Jewellers, or for elsewhere in the states try Govbergs. Both are heavily involved in this forum, and come highly recommended by many users.

I am based on the US West Coast so I guess US dealer makes sense especially if it works out cheaper.

Is there any autorized dealers that can give 35%+ discount? The margins should allow for that.

Debateable, given ADs' overheads, but either way, you won't see discounts of that order (except on old stock etc). Moreover ADs can get into trouble with manufacturers for heavily discounting, so any recommendations might reach you by PM rather than openly on the forum.

I don't know for sure but I don't think an AD is going to start messaging you with offers to sell!! That being said, 35% off from an AD is long gone. You might get 35% off on a slightly used piece with the majority of warranty in place but new I don't think so!

You misunderstood me navman. I did not mean that ADs will PM you with offers; I meant that we on forums, with good relationships with ADs, do not like to risk getting those ADs into trouble by talking about discounts. The standard advice, which has served scores of people very well over the years, is to contact the forum sponsors (top of the page).
