what a pleasant surprise, did not even hear the faintest rumours - Breitling just announed an in-house Rattrapante (split second) chronograph caliber, the B03 and put it in a nicely executed Navitimer (prefer the classic black, but the Havanna brown is nice too !

sadly in 45mm, not the more classic 43 ...

Learning so much on this form. Sounds super fancy. This stuff just amazes me.

Can you break down what this means exactly? So, while timing on the chrono, one can stop and start like a stop watch?

This has got to be the most shocking surprise Breitling has ever launched in Baselworld!!!!! Anyway the date wheel , according to the website is white and not the dial color as OP posted. IMO it would have been better for the date wheel to follow the dial color. But I guess the designer wants to make the date more legible. But I am really impressed this time... Rattrapante is my 2nd favorite complication after chronograph. The price seems reasonable to me too... The shocking part is that it is not done from a modified movement, but it's in-house!!!! That really elevates Breitling's image this time. Very well done!!!!!

Not too shabby, and they didn't decide it needed a DLC coatng either. I like the crown mounted pusher, a bit of a throw back to very early chronos. Size can't be because of the movement being that large so should be options for a smaller case later.

That's a superb release. Fantastic that Breitling have made an in-house ratty as this really sets them apart from a lot of the field now. The only fly in the ointment is havana dial colour and the white date wheel. (I assume the black dial version is just a mock-up Fred?) However, the fact they have made the B03 means it will definitely make it's way into other colour-ways and hopefully more models in due course.

Aha! Found it. It's only under the Made To Measure section, not on the main presentation. The black version looks superb.

It's not cheap though. :( Just shy of £10.5k GBP on the bracelet......

Oddly enough, the black dial version can only be found using the "Made to Measure" function.

When you configure similar models, i.e., same strap choice, the 46mm navitimer in stainless steel is $250 more than the 43mm Navi, the new B03 45mm Rattrapante is $2500 more than the 43mm Navi!
