Quick question I've managed to scratch the strap lug on my NW! Very slight but it needs remedying.

Is the case/body safe to polish using methods I've seen on this site (dremel and various compounds) or will the case be damaged as a result?

thanks

If the scratch is not deep then a cape cod cloth (for a polished finish) or gentle use of a scotchbrite pad (for brushed) will do the job. A longer period of hand finishing is better than using mechanical means for a small job like that. Post a pic if you're unsure. Frankly, if its not noticeable then leave it alone, you can't avoid day to day wear and tear unless you never take it out of the box.

A few minutes of earnest rubbing should deal with that.......

Yup, Cape Cod cloth will take care of that.

Hello, the scratch is not that deep but you have any knowledge of using the power tools, a dremel with a hard buffing wheel with a gentle touch using a white polishing compound will take care of the problem. Lastly, for the final finish use the polinoxx with a loose buffing wheel to bring the surface to the final finish.
