...a Navitimer??

I tried on a A23322 Navi years ago, and immediately realised it was pointless as I couldn't read the time easily and could barely
make out any of the dial details.

Tomorrow and Saturday I am having my NLR (natural lense replacement) eye surgery. If my predicted results are accurate, it will open up the possibility
of finally owning my absolute dream Breitling.

I just wondered if any other members have had optical surgery of any form that opened up a whole new world of watches.

Fingers Crossed for tomorrow :wowzers

Nick

please let me know how that went ? , I have an appointment scheduled for next week to see if I would benefit from them as well. I am just not sure which type to go for ? single lens would still require reading glasses but multi focal lenses can have other issues I have heard (halo's at night around lights)

I am very interested in the results and what your lens choice is

btw , I am told that with multi focal lenses you should be able to read perfectly nearby , so that would mean a Navitimer ;-) !!

I will keep you informed Dracha.

I am going for multifocal, - as I need glasses/contacts (which I don't really get on with) for close up and now my long vision isn't as good as it was.

I'm aware of the possibility of the 'halos' but told the percentage is very low.

I always think it'll be me though.......

Nick

Once upon a time I used to have to put on my spectacles to read serial numbers on case-backs etc.

These days I can just about read the time :D

I don't even bother setting the date anymore

Hope the surgery works out ok for you .

Thanks for the replies and good wishes Gents.

All done now, and although still very early days, the initial results are amazing.

Both eyes are still a little sore and blurry at times but my phone's text message font size is now set to the smallest
setting and can be read close up and at arms length. It was set so big before that anyone standing near me could see my messages

I have to put three different drops in 4 times a day for a month and no swimming, running for 2 weeks. Golf is a no, no for 1 month

My first check up is this morning and there is a Breitling Boutique in the same complex, so I'm going to see what I can actually see
what a Navi looks like now. :wowzers

Best wishes
Nick.

(good luck Dracha on your consultation. I would thoroughly recommend it from my first impressions.. I would love to hear how you get on if you wouldn't mind
