You've got balls of steel there Frank to attempt that!

You've done a really great job though as personally I've always felt the BB should be brushed just because of what it's named after.

I would love to tell you my hands were not shaking and I just jumped into it because I was so sure of myself but that would be a lie.
Very glad I did it but I was very nervous about my ability to make it happen the way I wanted. Many false starts but I have worked with all types of metals and synthetic finishes for over 40 years so I had some deeply hidden cowering faith in myself.
Thank you people for your kind remarks and to say that I am happy with the results would be an understatement.
I have gone back and touched up some areas that I thought were needing it so now it is exactly what I was hoping for.
Thanks again, Frank.

Well, shaking hands or not Frank, it turned out extremely well indeed. Very nicely done.

The largest area of a watch I've ever done anything like that to is refinishing the clasp of an old SMP with a bit of Scotchbrite!

When I read the thread title I thought here goes, someone else making a pigs ear of brushing a Watch, but that's simply not the case here, excellent job Frank, are you sure Breitling didn't do this?

No, I can assure you that my jumbled nerves will attest to my having done this in its entirety.
Thanks for the kind remarks, Frank.

Great job, how long did it take you to do this?

Months to get up the courage and about two hours of actual work.
Thanks for the reply, Frank.

Imagine an SA brushed. Might actually make me consider one a little harder, and would reduce the Russian mobster image it has today.

Well, it only lasted about three months and I missed the polished finish so it's back, but I did leave the bezel brushed.
I have come to the conclusion that if I want a brushed watch I should buy a brushed watch.
Thanks for looking, Frank.
