Hey all,

I'm sad today as I sent in my Navitimer Olympus for it's required service (8 years +). Nothing is wrong with the watch other than losing about 10 seconds a day.

Obviously, Breitling Canada told me that they don't do the Olympus Service here in Canada but they have to send the watch overseas to Switzerland for more experienced watchmakers... I can't say I was expecting this one. Do they service the B01 in Switzerland only also?

So bye bye Olympus for 12 to 14 weeks....and I'm expecting 1000$ or more.

wish me luck!

That's not just Canada.... I think all 1461 movements end up back in Switzerland from what I understand. The B01 movements do not have to go back to Switzerland.

Oh men are the 1461 that complicated? I thought it was a modular movement based on ETA

Well a mechanical movement that knows how many days are in the month is hardly simple!

Yeah I know. That didn't come out quite right. They have just been producing this movement for so long I can't believe we still have to send the watch to Switzerland.

Well first of all it's losing about 10 seconds a day, which is way out of COSC spec. Secondly, the more you wait, the more probable something WILL break. I pay a lot of money for these watches and I like to keep them pristine! To each their own!

If losing 10 secs a day then the trip is well warranted!

Preaching to the choir as I am a believer in keeping things in good working order.

Do you have any more info? Did you get the watch back? What was the cost?
I just purchased a Olympus and want to know the cost of service and timeline.
Thank you

Hi! Didn't see your post sorry! I got it back in around 8 weeks altogether! 1300 CAD. Very expensive but what can you do, watchmakers that will work on a 4 year calendar are few and far between.

+2 sec a day for now. It can change though I'll keep monitoring!
