Hi, I've had my B50 for just over 10 days now and I've observed that almost every time I flick my wrist to check the time the LCD shows something different. I've set it to show TIME 2 but it keeps showing me something random instead of sticking to TIME 2. By random i mean any one of the various details the LCD is capable of displaying.

Is it a bad unit or does the crown keep rotating while I'm wearing the watch? Is this a known issue?

I bought it in Dubai and I'll be back in Dubai tomorrow for a few days so if you guys think it's a malfunction I'd rather discuss it with the AD I bought it from instead of going back home to London and searching for a new one.

I had this same concern only a few weeks ago. I used some super sleuth to work out what was going on.
Do you wear the bling on your left wrist? If so - The crown is rubbing on the back of your hand or wrist joint and rotating the crown during daily use.

That's my best explanation anyway

Left wrist, yes. So there's nothing wrong with the watch? Have you conditioned yourself to somehow not rub the crown against the wrist or have you just learned to live with it?

What a pity. I wish there was a way to lock the crown so this wouldn't happen. Maybe wear the watch a bit higher on the wrist....reminds me of the Steve Jobs suggestion that the users were holding the iPhone wrong!

You can lock the crown by pushing it three times. In this way, even if you turn the crown, the displayed function does not change.

Cool, I didn't know that! Thank you.
Is there a way to show the date on the LCD?

Oh lord! Have you bothered to read the manual at all?

On main Time mode, press pusher A (2 o'clock side of the case) and you can cycle through display options for dates:

Day of the week on top and month, date, year at bottom

Week number at top, month, date year at bottom

Week number at top, main time at bottom

Month, date year at top, main time at bottom

Please take the time to read the instruction manual. Also Breitling.com/service offers an excellent interactive tutorial for their watches including the B50.

Sorry to be so condescending but I can't understand how anyone buys a multi thousand dollar watch and doesn't bother to read the enclosed instruction manual?

This watch supports many functions and might be a little intimidating at first, but the manual is excellent, clear and concise. Within 30 minutes of reading you should be able to get familiarized with all the watch has to offer.

Condescending yes.... but thanks for the info.
I hate manuals. I fly a helicopter with a manual that is 4 inches thick, that's the only one that I read page by page...

Apologies for that. If you fly a helicopter you get my respects!

As i mentioned it's just been 10 days and I'm still traveling so haven't had the chance to browse the manual. Thank you for this quick help though, you guys are awesome!
