I am thinking of pushing the button on getting a new Avenger II. Yellow dial.

Any pro or cons to this watch?

The only con is if you sell it you will regret it. I sold my first gen yellow steel SW and miss it every single Friday and more. It was my official kick off the weekend watch. I like the new ones even more, slightly different shade of yellow IMO.

Good luck and can't wait to see the pix! Enjoy.

Not sure what you mean by pros and cons, since presumably you like it and know that it's big and chunky. I have one as well as the black baton dial. The pros, I guess, are that I like the colour and it works well with blue and black straps: cons? The lume is not as powerful as the baton-dialed lume and I found it not as "immediately" readable in certain lights by comparison, but no significant issues. I love them both and am pleased I have them.

Good luck

Well, I received my yellow SW II only this afternoon.

My initial thoughts pretty much echo those of Steve's (poppydog) above.

Readability was a bit of a shock at first but, - that is mostly down to my ageing eyesight, and, comparing it to my ultra legible black dial, white batons Avenger II GMT.

Having previously owned an (older version) Seawolf, the size and weight is not a surprise, and the newer version is 14g lighter I believe.
I have it on black Diver Pro rubber until I get the bracelet re-sized and it's very comfortable.

Will be looking to get an Ocean Racer/blue rubber set up at some point too.

Great watch.

Nick

Yeh, I have gone ahead and ordered it.

I really like it and it will be the new weekend watch after my Superocean II

Very nice, am thinking about getting one of those myself. May I ask which strap you got? It looks like a pro2, is a tang or the push button clasp?
My AD is trying to push me to the more expensive clasp saying the pin and buckle straps are too fiddly to get on. One day I'd buy a push button clasp and ocean racer but to keep costs down I had planned to go for the cheaper strap but if the general consensus is that is too fiddly then I may avoid.

May I also ask what size your wrists are?

Oooh well I dont think I will be much help here as I have no idea about measurements.

It is the Pro 2 strap in black but looking at the picture above I was thinking about putting it on the blue rubber. I have it on the normal tang. The push button clasp didnt do it for me. I have it fairly loose.

The only thing is I like a loose fit. So that takes a notch away.
