That wouldn't surprise me either, except the serial number on the back plate matches the rest of the watch, not the limited edition. Would love to know how this all came to be but I can't imagine Breitling ever coming forward and admitting how a mistake like that was ever made.

Do you have a 'Limited Certificate' in your document pack? If not, then I'd be surprised whether anyone would take the fact that the caseback is engraved as being anything other than a curiosity. Does the serial number engraved match everything else (COSC, e-warranty etc)? I'd imagine the explanation given above is correct and to be honest if it were me, I'd probably ask the dealer to get a correct caseback sorted from Breitling to prevent any difficulty in future if/when you decide to move it on. Whether they would do that .... |
