I like Roman numerals.
So I fooled around a bit in Photoshop, to get an idea (I know its not perfect) how a Navitimer 01 would look like with them.

I love Romans but that looks horrendous. Nice job with Photoshop though.

+1 on loving the Roman indices. :) Howsomever, I do like the Romans on the Navi 01 as rendered. Very different yet very interesting and attractive IMO. Great job!
Best,
Ron

The Romans I used, come off a Chronomat 44.
I tried also to find Romans of a Evo, or Crosswind, but the ones I found didn't match the rest of the watch.

I think I looks really good, works with the layout of the dial. Nice job!

I think it looks better than the Arabic numbers, I was never a fan of the Arabic numbers on the Navi

Hi Fred,

Thanks, I didn't knew that model yet.
To be honest; I don't realy like those Roman numerals.
For me the Navitimer is a gracious watch and those numerals don't do it justice.
I have the same opinion about the Arabic Numerals; just not gracious enough.
I will fiddle around a bit more in Photoshop, to see if I can come up with something better.

I made another attempt, to create a Navi 01 with Roman Numerals.
This time I made them out of scratch in Photoshop, because I couldn't find any suitable numerals.

First the one I made previous with the Numerals of a Chronomat 44, to make it easier to compare them;

And of the other one I made two variations;

Personally, I like the last ones more.

Love the work, Frans! :D If it isn't too much trouble, I would love the see the black version enlarged to the size of the gold case Navi pics and even better a black version with the Romans shown in the bottom pic?... Thank you so much. :)
Best,
Ron

You mean the version, where also the subdials are black, or?

I haven't been able to find a picture of a black subdialed watch.

To save myself some time, I just turned the gold Romal numerals into black & white and fitted them into the steel/black version.
Anyway, you should be able to get an idea how it would look like with those numerals in reality.
