Well traveling from New Hampshire to Tennessee is about a 14 hour drive. Well let's just say 117g on your wrist while driving gets a little uncomfortable after about 6 hours. I had to take the old girl off and store her in the travel case, I think on the drive home I will be wearing my Colt Chrono.

That's interesting Joshua. I wear a Fortis B47 as my principle driving watch. I don't know why really, as its not a drivers watch as such. It is however superbly comfortable on long road trips and is easy to read when driving. Great graphics and text font on the dial, clear and razor sharp. No mistaking with a quick eye glance what the time is. There, I know now why I wear it........

It weighs in at 120g and I don't normally realise its on my wrist until I look at it. Its beautifully balanced and that helps but also is on a leather strap. It spends the majority of its time under my wrist when in the normal wheel hand hold position, so its weight is off the top side of my wrist really and mostly on the underneath side. Is your SO44 on a bracelet or leather/rubber strap? I wonder if that might be the reason for some of the fatigue you experienced?

Its on my Pro 2 bracelet. But I wear my bracelets a little big normally, during normal wear I don't feel my watch. But for some reason while driving it felt like an anchor on my wrist. Sliding all over the place up and down my wrist, it was serving me nuts while driving, I bet if I had it on my leather bband it would have been fine. Maybe I will try that out the next time.

A good idea I think.

Might also be that if, like me, you drive with your watch virtually upside down (well at 90 degrees anyway), there is a lot of pressure on the inner wrist that (maybe) is aggravating the situation. I think my watch is not that well balanced in this position and I need something that is thin and close fitting to my wrist. Checkout when you drive and with your hands at the wheel, and see where your watch is.

Just a thought.

Cheers.
