Wen't to set the time on my SA last night with no problem but when I went to screw the crown back in it wouldn't stay! I pushed it in and kept turning but nothing. Anyone have any ideas or had this problem before?

Also of course I'm pretty sure my warranty expired last month :(

The usual issue is stripped threads - more of an issue with the Aeromarine range because the crown tube is integral to the middle case so more costly to address if it's not under warranty. It will need service attention.

Although it may be too late in this case; I remember reading here that the best way to screw the crown down is to push in and turn as if you are un screwing, feel the threads catch and then screw in. Is this the best practice, and best way to avoid stripping?

And off to BUSA she goes…

Do you guys think this will be covered under warranty considering its a crown issue?
