I've owned a lot of different watches from a lot of different companies — everything from Rolex to the assembled-in-China boutique divers.

One thing I've noticed about the Breitlings I've owned versus all the others is how much more comfortably the Bs rest on my wrist and stay where they're supposed to be, regardless of how my arm is positioned. Bracelet, leather, or rubber, it doesn't seem to make a difference. It's almost like a force holds them in place.

It's not a small difference, either. It's quite noticeable. Even my Sub, which is an easy-wearing watch, sometimes has a tendency to want to rotate. My Breitlings never do that (granted, I've not owned any of the boat anchor sized models, so I can't speak to the entire line). Having become something of a comfort snob, this is a big reason why Breitlings will stay on my want list.

It makes me wonder — is this due simply to the unique characteristics of my own wrist, or is there something about the design of Breitling cases, weight distribution, etc. that produces this effect?

Not an earth-shaking issue, but I was curious as to whether anyone else has a similar observation.

The Breitling bracelets are amazingly well made and very comfortable. I think a lot of the comfort is the individual links which allow for movement throughout the bracelet. The deployant design is also very comfortable (for me) although I think it's less suited for smaller wrists, and the thickness of the leathers helps as well.

My Motors T Speed bracelet is a work of art and super comfortable. It's beauty mesmerizes me each time I look at it.

A ling on a bracelet is what seems to fit me best. I had a Ball which was nice, but a brutal fit, and am soon going to list my Helson for sale because the least amount of discomfort is a deal breaker. I'm curious if higher range watches would be the same, and knowing this I probably would not buy without trying first. So far I've owned 5 lings and all have been fine.

I have to believe it's more than that. I've worn mine on a variety of non-Breitling straps and still experience the same effect I described above. (But I don't dispute that their bracelets are well made and very comfortable. They are.)

Absolutely true for my integrated navi, its comfortable and stays in place all day

Yep, I've never come across an uncomfortable Breitling bracelet. They've always been extremely high quality for as long as I can remember.

This has been true for me as well, but only since I focused on the correct size case for my wrist and left behind a bunch of watches I truly loved, but flopped on my wrist too much - just to big for me. Damn! I will say, though, that nothing beat the Sub C for comfort and fit. I chalk that up to the clasp.

I think you are right. My Breitling fits better than my Panerai although I've never tried their metal bracelet. The titanium probably makes a big difference too.
